Our client is a privately owned, well-established construction company specializing in all aspects of groundworks and civil engineering throughout the south east of England.
Operating out of their Head Office in Bedfordshire, their sites are largely in South Hertfordshire and London.
They have a fantastic team, are growing, and are looking for a Trainee Contracts Manager who would like to be part of their growth.
They have built up an excellent reputation with well-known construction companies.
They work on a wide range of schemes ranging from £400k to £3m, with an average project value of £1.5m.
The Role: Assistant Construction Manager
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and progress within a privately owned company.
As an Assistant Construction Manager, your time will be split between office and site.
You will be trained by Supervisors on site and the Construction Director in the office.
You Will Assist With
* Overseeing all aspects of site management on your sites, regularly visiting to inspect, offer support, and ensure adherence to the program and quality standards.
* Arranging resources for project delivery, ordering drainage, and liaising with suppliers.
* Attending weekly client meetings, taking notes, issuing, and actioning them.
The Right Person
You will have some supervisory experience within the construction industry, which could be from working as an Assistant Site Manager or from groundworks, looking to move into a supervisory role.
Due to site locations, candidates should reside in Hertfordshire (Welwyn, Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Luton, Enfield).
