Associate Pay Assistant - 12 month FTC
Full-time, Permanent
Hybrid role - Bristol office 2-3 days a week
The Role
As an Associate Pay Assistant, you’ll be responsible for preparing and managing associate payments accurately and efficiently, ensuring a smooth and seamless process every time. You’ll provide professional, friendly, and proactive support to our associates, as well as to internal and external stakeholders, delivering great customer service in every interaction.
Responsibilities
1. Support the preparation and processing of associate statements and payments accurately and on time.
2. Assist with quarterly clawbacks and grid calculations, ensuring precision and adherence to deadlines.
3. Prepare and reconcile NHS superannuation payments, maintaining clear and effective communication with associates.
4. Support the reconciliation of control accounts within the balance sheet.
5. Maintain accurate data within the Associate Pay System, ensuring all relevant forms are processed promptly.
6. Assist with year-end data returns, including submissions to HMRC and the NHS.
7. Deliver a professional, courteous service to both internal and external customers.
8. Work closely with practice teams to resolve associate pay queries quickly and accurately.
9. Ensure overpayments are identified and reclaimed following agreed procedures.
10. Keep accurate and compliant financial records at all times.
11. Prepare and issue timely statements to all associates.
12. Collaborate with practice teams to guarantee the accuracy of all associate payments.
13. Ensure compliance with all internal policies, external regulations, and legislative requirements.
14. Proactively escalate any issues where appropriate to ensure swift resolution.
Skills/Experience
15. Attention to detail
16. Demonstrable experience of bulk data input in an accurate and efficient manner
17. Computer literate, particularly Excel
18. Demonstrable excellent customer service skills
19. Proactive approach to dealing with issues
20. Demonstrable experience of working to deadlines
21. Prioritisation and time management
22. Demonstrable ability to reconcile data
Desirable:
23. Relevant accountancy qualifications e.g. AAT or Book keeping
24. Relevant accounts experience
