Job Title: Casual Sports Therapist/Physiotherapist
Department: Medical & Performance Support
Reporting to: Academy Lead Physiotherapist & Academy Manager
Purpose: To assist in the provision of Medical Services across the Academy.
The accountabilities of the Casual Sports Therapist/Physiotherapist include:
* Assisting the delivery of the Football Club's Medical provision within the Academy.
* Delivering evidence-based programmes for players in gym and pitch-based sessions.
* Liaising with staff regarding injury progress and return-to-play times.
* Providing relevant consultations when necessary.
Key Activities:
Assist in providing each Player with:
* First Aid or Primary Care at games and training sessions involving Academy teams and the First Team, as directed.
* Effective use of Performance Management Applications, Performance Clocks, and injury prevention strategies through pitch and gym sessions.
* Medical services, injury prevention and treatment, diet, and nutrition guidance.
* Monitoring the progress and development of each Player under the Sports Science and Medicine/Performance Support Programme.
* Recording injury details, treatments, and rehabilitation periods accurately as directed.
* Supporting fitness testing and rehabilitation plans for effective return to play.
* Assisting staff with training load planning as needed.
* Carrying out administrative duties related to Medical Services and Performance Support.
* Implementing safeguarding policies in conjunction with the Designated Safeguarding Officer and responding to concerns appropriately.

Person Specification:
Essential Qualifications:
* Enhanced DBS Clearance
* BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy or relevant discipline
* FA ITMMiF
* FA Safeguarding Qualification
Desirable Qualifications:
* Masters Degree in a relevant discipline
* FA ATMMiF
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* Recent relevant experience in a sports performance environment.
* Competence in MS Office, with experience in recording and reporting information.
* Experience dealing with minors and understanding of Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures, including relevant clearances.
* Previous management experience within an Elite Sports Environment or Academy setting.
