We are looking for a Sales Representative - Application Development Engineer – EMEA
As a Solutions Provider and Innovation Partner, the Celanese Micromax business focuses on applying our >60 years of experience in thick film electronic pastes to solve material science challenges. Customers rely on us to create innovative, high-quality materials for demanding applications.
Our products enable electrical designers to create high-performance printed electronic circuits on various substrates, including flexible, stretchable, and moldable electronics. Ceramic circuitry can withstand high temperatures and harsh environments.
Target markets include automotive, consumer electronics, biotechnology, telecommunications, defense, aerospace, and information technology.
This role combines Application Development Engineer work with Account Representation to develop pipeline opportunities within existing or new accounts.
The successful candidate will work closely with potential customers on new applications for Micromax products, documenting technical needs, and driving value capture and revenue growth.
This role can be based in the UK, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany, Switzerland, or Austria.
Responsibilities
* Manage accounts in the EMEA region.
* Collaborate with Account Managers, Product Management, and Technical teams to develop and manage opportunity pipelines.
* Develop existing customer relationships and identify new opportunities focusing on value and growth.
* Create and close growth projects, documenting opportunities meticulously.
* Define value propositions for end-use applications.
* Assess competition and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
* Monitor Voice of Customer (VOC) throughout the development cycle.
* Work with regional teams on pricing and strategies.
* Coordinate solutions across Sales, R&D, Project Management, and Product Management teams.
The role involves significant travel (~40-60%).
Qualifications
* Bachelor's in Electrical or Chemical Engineering or similar, with 5+ years in business development, sales, or technical service.
* Or 10+ years relevant experience without a degree.
* Experience in the Electronics Industry, preferably with Microcircuit Materials or Micromax.
* Proven success in opportunity development and customer growth.
* Strong documentation and pipeline management skills.
* Willingness to travel 40-60%.
Preferred
* Experience with Microcircuit Materials or Micromax.
* Experience with early-stage innovation.
* Sales and account management experience.
* Located near a major airport for travel convenience.
