Assistant Head Butler
As Assistant Head Butler, you will support the Head Butler in orchestrating this hallmark service, ensuring that every guest journey, from pre‑arrival to departure, is seamless, anticipatory, and deeply memorable. This role is ideal for a luxury service professional with impeccable attention to detail, a passion for creating meaningful guest connections, and the ability to lead and inspire a team in delivering truly bespoke experiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Head Butler with the smooth day‑to‑day operation of Butler Services, ensuring consistently exceptional and discreet service
* Oversee pre‑arrival preparation, guest communication, VIP coordination, and daily Butler Service Desk operations
* Assist with daily briefings, sharing priorities, service updates, and guest requirements with the team
* Prepare check‑in, arrival, and VIP lists, supporting effective allocation of team resources
* Deliver warm, intuitive, and highly personalised service, building strong rapport with VIP and repeat guests
* Handle guest concerns with professionalism and composure, ensuring timely and thoughtful resolution
* Reinforce brand standards, signature Butler rituals, and service recovery processes at all times
* Support the Head Butler with staff scheduling, training, coaching, and performance monitoring
* Promote collaboration across Front Office, Housekeeping, and other operational departments
* Uphold the highest standards of guest privacy, confidentiality, safety, and luxury brand compliance
* Assist with departmental cost control, inventory management, labour planning, and operational reporting
Core Competence
* Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a 5‑star hotel or luxury environment
* Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills, with a calm and confident presence
* Experience engaging with VIP and high‑profile guests, demonstrating discretion and emotional intelligence
* A passion for personalised, anticipatory service and consistently flawless execution
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a dedicated butler team
* Professional presentation with exceptional attention to detail
* Confidence in anticipating guest needs and responding with discretion and precision
