This is a fixed-term or secondment post of 12 months. The shift pattern for this post is Mon-Fri 9.00-5.00pm.
The post holder will be part of the Business Support Team within East Dunbartonshire HSCP, working directly with the multi-disciplinary/multi-agency team to support the service. The post holder will be required to communicate with all users of the service. It is essential that the post holder has excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to a wide range of personalities.
Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support in an office environment
* Deal with a high volume of calls
* Help ensure protocols for work areas are followed and contribute to review of these protocols
* Prioritise workload and exercise initiative as part of a team
* Support the team in day-to-day operations and service delivery
Essential qualifications
* Experience gained within an office environment
* Experience of dealing with a high volume of calls
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to follow protocols for work areas and contribute to review of these protocols
* Ability to prioritise workload and exercise initiative
* Flexible
Desirable qualifications
* Keyboard skills
* Experience of data input
* Experience of dealing with complex calls
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word
* Previous NHS experience
New employees will undertake an induction/training programme. This will be a minimum of 4 weeks depending on the department and location.
