To ensure planned Fire maintenance works are technically compliant, run smoothly, and on programme Reactive callouts as and when required Fire Alarm remedial and installation works are carried out efficiently and up to current standards.
Principle Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM), testing, and servicing of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
* Undertake fault-finding, remedial works, and small installations in line with industry regulations (BS5839 & BS5266).
* Provide commissioning support, including fire alarm software programming where required.
* Respond promptly to reactive callouts, delivering first-time fixes wherever possible.
* Complete compliance documentation, logbooks, and certification following works.
* Liaise professionally with clients, tenants, and colleagues to ensure excellent service delivery.
* Ensure compliance with all health & safety procedures and risk assessments.
Essential Qialificatons & Experience:
* Proven experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems across commercial or residential sites.
* Strong working knowledge of emergency lighting systems and statutory testing requirements.
* On-site fire alarm experience (1st and 2nd fix works).
* Up-to-date knowledge of fire alarm industry standards (BS5839) and emergency lighting standards (BS5266).
* Demonstrable experience in fault-finding, diagnostics, and remedial works.
* Ability to work independently across multiple London sites with excellent time management.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer focus.
Desirable:
* Fire alarm software programming and commissioning experience.
* Industry-recognised training in fire alarm systems.
* Asbestos Awareness, IPAF, or PASMA certification.
