Are you an experienced Band 5 Nurse seeking career progression or a current Band 6 looking for a new challenge as a Mental Health Liaison Practitioner in Central Manchester?

We offer an opportunity to join a rapidly expanding and developing service. In line with the Five Year Forward Plan for Mental Health and our service transformation, we are expanding our hospital liaison team.

Greater Manchester Mental Health Service is recruiting Band 6 mental health practitioners at our central Manchester site.

We welcome enthusiastic, motivated practitioners from various backgrounds including perinatal, later life, and CYP to join us.

You will be supported to develop your skills further within a multidisciplinary team involved in research and service development.


Main duties

We operate 24/7 services at the interface of physical and mental health to provide responsive care in hospital and A&E settings. The successful candidate will deliver person-centred assessments, advice, interventions, and care planning for diverse patient groups.

Responsibilities

Shift: Saturday (midnight to midnight), weekdays after 8 pm, before 6 am, and all hours on Sundays and public holidays.

Annual leave: 27 days plus bank holidays, increasing with service length.

* Post-registration CPD evidence
* CAMHS experience
* OA experience


Additional Information

All roles require pre-employment checks, including DBS registration, which can be maintained via the DBS Update Service for a fee.
