About the Role
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Part-Time Chef de Partie to join a busy daytime café kitchen. You will be responsible for running a section of the kitchen, supporting the preparation of fresh, high-quality dishes, and ensuring smooth and efficient service throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
* Support the Head Chef / Café Manager with menu preparation and daily service delivery.
* Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, allergen, and health & safety requirements.
* Keep your section organised, clean, and fully stocked during service.
* Assist with stock control, deliveries, and minimising food waste.
* Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver a friendly, efficient, customer-focused service.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef ready to step up.
* Knowledge of daytime café menus, including breakfast, brunch, light bites, and baked goods.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Passion for fresh, seasonal food with excellent attention to detail.
* Flexibility to work part-time daytime shifts, including weekends.
* Food hygiene certification preferred, but not essential.
