Inclusion Teaching Assistant
Primary Inclusion Setting Full-time | Starting 24th February
Class Mate is recruiting an experienced Inclusion Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a specialist inclusion setting, working mainly with Year 13 children with EHCPs and complex needs .
Many of the pupils are non-verbal, and several are preparing for transition into specialist provision.
The role:
Providing 1:1 and small group support within the inclusion unit
Supporting pupils with complex needs and EHCPs
Working with mainly non-verbal pupils, using alternative communication methods
Supporting routines, engagement, and emotional regulation
Working closely with the inclusion team and SENCO
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience supporting children with complex SEN and EHCPs
Be confident working with non-verbal pupils
Be nurturing, resilient, and calm
Have experience in SEN, inclusion, or specialist settings
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
