We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Freight Forwarding Sales Specialist to join our clients expanding team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in selling sea, air, and road freight within a UK forwarding environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business and managing client relationships, ensuring a high level of service and expertise in the global freight industry.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Generate new sales, including FCL/LCL sea freight, air freight, and road freight, both import and export.
* Work flexibly, both in the office and out in the field, to meet and exceed sales targets.
* Leverage existing contacts and experience to bring in transferable business, enhancing the company's client base and market presence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* At least 2 years' UK experience in selling sea, air, and road freight in a forwarding environment.
* Proven track record of sales and business development in the freight industry.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the global freight industry.
* Excellent negotiation skills and strong attention to detail.
* Exceptional communication skills and a friendly personality.
* Competence in using Microsoft Office tools: Word, Outlook, and Excel.
* Strong team player with a dynamic and proactive approach.
