Practice Nurse – Primary Care Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join a supportive and growing primary care team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, efficient nursing care to patients across a broad range of clinical needs. Key Responsibilities Manage chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD, and thyroid disorders. Run immunisation and treatment clinics, including wound care, suture removal, ECGs, and blood pressure monitoring. Provide cytology services and family planning advice. Maintain clinical areas and equipment, including instrument sterilisation and stock management. Keep accurate patient records, both written and electronic. Conduct diagnostic procedures according to established protocols. Participate in call and recall systems, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives. Support and mentor Health Care Assistants, student nurses, and other staff as appropriate. Role Requirements Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to manage workload independently and seek guidance when needed. Deliver patient care in line with local and national clinical guidelines. Maintain professional registration with the NMC and adhere to the Code of Conduct. Observe strict confidentiality and operate within professional competence.
