Logistics Coordinator / Warehouse Administrator
Ipswich (Felixstowe Logistics Corridor)
£30,000 to £40,000
Monday to Friday working (no surprise Saturday container drama)
Genuine career progression (not just a promise in the handbook)
Training and apprenticeship opportunities
The Role (aka: The Organised Chaos Controller)
A growing logistics and warehousing businesshelping containers behave themselves after arriving through the Port of Felixstoweis on the hunt for a Logistics Coordinator .
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone already in logistics, warehouse admin, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination who enjoys spinning multiple plates and occasionally catching the ones that wobble.
What Youll Be Doing
Think of yourself as the central nervous system of the warehouse connecting customers, warehouse teams, and transport planners so everything runs smoothly (or at least looks like it does).
Its roughly a 50/50 split between:
Keeping systems updated and accurate
Keeping customers informed and happy (or at least calm)
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Managing admin for multiple customer accounts (yes, multitasking is key)
Processing inbound and outbound orders in the WMS (Warehouse Management Systemnot wizard magic system sadly)
Talking to customers about bookings, stock, and delivery schedules
Producing stock reports that people will definitely read eventually
Working closely with warehouse and transport teams to hit deadlines
Investigating stock discrepancies (aka playing detective)
Supporting billing by capturing chargeable activity (because nothing moves for free)
Helping onboard new clients and keeping documentation tidy and audit-ready
What Youll Bring
Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or warehouse operations
Strong admin and organisational skills (you love a good spreadsheet)
Confidence communicating with both customers and ops teams
Ability to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the important ones
Experience with ETSF or bonded warehouses is a bonus (Felixstowe veterans, step right up)
In Short:
Youll keep the stock moving, the systems accurate, the customers informed, and the warehouse running like a well-oiled (occasionally slightly chaotic) machine.
