We are now recruiting for a Senior Outerwear Designer. This is a new role and will report to the Senior Vice President.

About the Role
The Senior Designer will focus primarily on Outerwear with an emphasis on Casual. Formal wear is advantageous.
We are looking for a Senior Designer who is:
1. Accountable for creating trend led ranges within the team based in the clients specifications.
2. Commercially aware of current trends and themes, developing the brand and working with production to ensure all products are designed and manufactured in line with the brands direction and critical path within sometimes tight deadlines.
3. Liaising with customers and suppliers to develop new ranges. This will include attending sales meetings with customers and possible trips to the Far East to work with suppliers.
4. Supporting the business in adding value to its clients, understanding and researching new product development opportunities.
5. Share knowledge of manufacturing process and techniques.
Designer specification:
6. The successful applicants will have at least five years Casual Outerwear design experience within a fashion retailer/ apparel for the designer roles, assistant designer roles may be considered with less experience
7. Working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and materials.
8. Target driven with a passion for fashion and the confidence to grow and develop.
9. Ability to produce technical sheets for manufacturing products.
10. Flexible with working hours including overtime and travel.
11. Strong CAD and illustrator skills
12. Digital approach to working processes
