Overview
We are excited to launch our Level 2 Traffic Management Apprenticeship programme in partnership with First for Apprenticeships, where you can develop your skills and grow professionally, setting a solid foundation for your future career. This 21-month programme will be delivered using a combination of on-site experience, guidance from an experienced workplace mentor, and industry-recognised training delivered in the workplace leading to an apprenticeship qualification.
Responsibilities
* As an Apprentice Traffic Management Operative, safely deliver, install, collect, exchange and maintain temporary traffic equipment (temporary traffic lights, signage, frames, sandbags and cones) and help commuters travel safely through temporary roadworks.
* Check equipment and systems are fit for use and fully operational.
* Record any damage.
* Maintain battery banks.
* Assist with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
* Manage checklists.
* Complete timesheets and risk assessments.
* Ensure vehicles, tools and other equipment are maintained and ready to use.
* Assist with maintaining a safe, tidy and clean yard.
As an apprentice for Clancy, you will be set up for success, ensuring you have support and sufficient time to work towards your apprenticeship. You will also have opportunities to get involved with local community and social value activities across the business.
Requirements
That you\'re at least 18 years of age and have a full manual UK driving licence and are happy to work 7:30am to 5pm. You will also need great communication skills and a can do attitude, along with being a team player who is reliable and punctual. Working in and on highways can be dangerous, so an appreciation of why we always operate safely, don\'t take risks or short cuts is essential.
