Account Manager
We are looking for an Account Manager to join our growing team of like‑minded tech people. Your responsibilities will encompass:
Sales (50%)
* Consult with Purchasing Team to provide quotations for service within the product/services and price ranges defined by the business.
* Produce contracts for services, including liaison with legal functions where required.
* Identify and grow opportunities and collaborate to ensure growth attainment in line with defined targets.
* Complete key vendor pre‑sales certifications.
* Ensure all sales opportunities are logged in CRM and kept up to date.
* Attend networking events, webinars, seminars and exhibitions as required.
Client Relationship Management (45%)
* Manage and maintain relationships with assigned clients.
* Operate as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your customers.
* Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting customer relationships with multiple client stakeholders.
* Hold regular reviews with clients in accordance with Account Management Procedure, including on‑site visits where necessary.
* Plan, document and present IT strategies for each client highlighting key recommendations.
* Cover for other Account Managers during periods of leave or sickness.
* Complete administrative work as required.
* Discuss complex technical requirements with clients competently.
* Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
* Liaise with technical teams to design and develop tailored IT solutions that meet the client’s needs.
* Provide feedback to technical teams based on client needs, aiding continuous improvement of solutions.
Project Management (5%)
* Prepare informative project handovers to the Implementation team.
Requirements
* Full clean UK driving licence.
* Strong communication, presentation and relationship‑building skills.
* Excellent time management, organised and attention to detail.
* Adaptable and proactive approach to evolving client needs.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
* Ability to deal with technical product information.
* Excellent proven IT background, ideally for a Microsoft Partner/Managed Service Provider.
* Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation.
* Well versed in managing a busy workload and adhering to deadlines.
* Excellent conversational fluency in English to explain complex technical issues.
