Job overview The Radiology department performs approximately 300,000 examinations a year. The main site in Bath hosts a busy Emergency Department and Urgent Care Centre. Radiology covers plain film, theatre and fluoroscopy, together with CT, MRI, interventional and cardiac work. The department is known for their forward thinking and innovative approach. The RUH is also proud of a strong Preceptorship programme, available to newly-qualified Band 5 Radiographers. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated Radiographers to join our team of experienced friendly staff who provide services across a dynamic mix of departments for all our patients. We have full-time posts available. These posts involve working on a rota basis, covering 7 days, in a variety of radiographic areas including the Emergency Department, theatres and fluoroscopy, as well as participating in out-of-hours duties. All Band 5 Radiographers are given the opportunity to train and work in CT scanning after consolidation of plain film, fluoroscopy and out-of-hours working. The out-of-hours service is in line with Agenda for Change. Advert To carry out radiographic imaging using ionising radiation ensuring the production of high quality images to enable accurate diagnoses To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of their own work.
