We are seeking
a full-time Curator Specialist to join the Data Readiness Group at the Department of Engineering Science, at the OeRC in central Oxford. The post is fixed-term for 12 months, with extension possible according to funds, and focused on the FAIRsharing service. FAIRsharing is a curated, informative and educational resource on data and metadata standards, inter-related to databases and data policies, across all disciplines. The FAIRsharing Curator is a specialist who manages the process of collecting, reviewing, structuring, documenting, and releasing content relevant to the FAIRsharing service, working with other curators and developers in the team, as well as interacting with users and collaborators world-wide. You should possess a master’s degree in library science or similar; curational experience, in particular with content that underpins the FAIR Principles; experience of working with an online portal of interlinked information; specialist knowledge of best practice in Research Data Management (RDM) in many/all disciplines; as well as an excellent communication skills, including the ability to write/contribute to publication and educational material, and present results.
