Working hours: 35 hours per week (Must be available to work Wednesday and Friday between 8.00am and 2.00pm - the remainder of hours to be agreed at interview although some flexibility is required)

The Salvation Army, Lincoln Corps, is looking for someone who can support the Community work in assessing the needs of the community and make recommendations for the overall programme agenda in alignment with the Corps Mission Development Plan. You will be able to plan, design, implement and evaluate specific programmes to ensure they are fit for purpose for the local community. There is also a requirement for the postholder to promote the Community work in order to secure funding to ensure the long-term viability of the programme and role.
Key Responsibilities:
The post-holder will be responsible for the development, delivery, and evaluation of community programmes within the Corps to deliver the aims of the Mission Development Plan. These duties will include the coordination of activities for volunteers and demonstrating both a professional and caring manner when interacting with programme participants to create a welcoming and supportive environment
The successful candidate(s) will:
1. Have proven interpersonal skills
2. Have a willingness to work within and be an enthusiastic advocate of our Christian ethos and values in the community
3. Have previous experience in a similar environment and in managing staff and volunteers
4. Be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
5. Enjoy working with people,
6. Be able to deal tactfully with staff, volunteers and the public
7. Be able to undertake all administrative tasks and fundraise
8. Have a full UK driving licence and access to a car to use for work (business mileage will be paid)
