Area Development Manager, responsible for driving business growth, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction across drainage and waste management services within a designated region. This role involves strategic business development, managing customer relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading service delivery improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth
* Develop and implement area business plans to expand drainage and waste management services.
* Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and contracts within the public and private sectors.
* Deliver sales targets, revenue growth, and profitability objectives.
* Act as the primary point of contact for key clients in the region.
* Ensure high service standards and quick resolution of customer issues.
* Manage service-level agreements (SLAs) and customer satisfaction metrics.
Operational Oversight
* Oversee drainage and waste service operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Optimise resource allocation, scheduling, and logistics to maximize efficiency.
* Support the implementation of innovative technologies in waste collection, drainage maintenance, and recycling.
* Ensure full compliance with local, national, and industry regulations on drainage, waste handling, and disposal.
* Lead site audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
* Promote a culture of health, safety, and sustainability.
Team Leadership
* Manage and develop area teams, including supervisors, engineers, and frontline service staff.
* Provide training, mentoring, and performance management.
* Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture.
