The HR Advisor plays a pivotal role in supporting the full employee lifecycle for UK & Ireland populations, ensuring the consistent and compliant application of HR policies and procedures. This role provides first-line guidance to managers and employees, supports employee relations casework, and partners with global Talent Operations teams / centres of excellence (CoEs) to ensure effective people operations in line with global HR strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Employee Relations & Advisory - providing advice and support on HR policies, procedures, and employment law to line managers and employees. You will support and manage ER cases such as absence management, disciplinary, grievance, capability, and probation. Additionally, you will ensure documentation and case handling is accurate, timely, and in line with internal policy and legal standards.
* HR Processes & Transactions – you will liaise with HR and Payroll and Global Talent Operations Team to ensure timely processing of employee changes, onboarding, and offboarding. You will prepare letters and documentation and maintain accurate records in the HRIS (e.g. PeopleHR, SAP, Workday) and employee files.
* Line Manager Support & Coaching - building strong relationships with first-line managers and act as a trusted point of contact for people-related queries. Supporting training or briefing sessions on HR topics and helping managers understand and apply consistent performance and conduct expectations.
* Projects & HR Initiatives - supporting or leading local elements of HR projects such as engagement surveys, diversity & inclusion initiatives, or restructures. Providing administrative and coordination support on cyclical activities such as annual reviews, compensation cycles, and learning initiatives. Collecting and analyse HR data for reporting (e.g. headcount, absence, turnover).
* Policy & Compliance - Ensuring HR practices align with UK and Ireland employment legislation and company policies. Contribute to the review and update of local HR policies and templates. Participate in audits and compliance-related activity
What we are looking for:
As the successful candidate you will have 2–4 years’ experience in an HR Generalist or Advisor role within a UK and/or Irish business environment. We are particularly interested in receiving your application if you have experience in any of the following areas:
* Good knowledge of UK employment law (Ireland desirable).
* Experience supporting and advising line managers.
* Experience using HR systems (PeopleHR, Workday, SAP, SuccessFactors, etc.).
* CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards) preferred.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to handle confidential issues sensitively
* Good organisational and time management skills
