Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our UK warehouse operations, supporting both domestic and Irish business activities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing a fast‑paced warehouse that combines storage, pick and pack, and in‑house production for goods supplied to installation projects.
This role demands a confident and capable leader who can manage people and performance, forecast and schedule workloads effectively, and deliver measurable improvements in productivity, standards, and morale.
The Warehouse Manager will have full accountability for warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and profitability while driving a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Operational Management
* Oversee daily warehouse and production operations, ensuring all goods are received, stored, produced, and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
* Manage and plan shift patterns to ensure sufficient cover for 24/7 operations when required.
* Maintain operational flow between warehouse, production, transport, and installation teams.
* Uphold strong warehouse discipline and ensure adherence to all health, safety, and compliance standards.
* Ensure accurate stock tracking, management, and ordering processes are in place to maintain minimum and critical stock levels.
* Drive accountability for stock accuracy through routine cycle counts and regular reconciliation with system data.
Qualifications & Experience
* Demonstrable experience in warehouse management, ideally within a high‑volume or production‑led environment.
* Proven record in leading teams, improving operations, and achieving performance targets.
* Strong understanding of stock control, forecasting, scheduling, and replenishment strategies.
* Demonstrated success in implementing new warehouse systems or reconfiguring operations for improved performance.
* Experienced in leading teams through system change and gaining full operational engagement.
* Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage budgets, costs, and productivity.
* Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making, and communication skills.
* Working knowledge of Health & Safety, compliance, and best practice standards.
Desirable
* Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms.
* Background in a business supplying and staging equipment for installation or field‑based projects.
* Formal training or certification in logistics, supply chain, or operational management.
Summary
Initially working a day shift, there is potential for the role to move to a two‑shift pattern in the future. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who thrives in a busy, changing environment. The successful candidate will bring structure, discipline, and vision to the warehouse function, leading from the front to deliver operational excellence, employee engagement, and continuous improvement across the business.
