PE Global is currently recruiting for an UI/UX Designer for a leading multi-national Pharma client based in Basingstoke. The role is hybrid, will require the candidate to be in the Basingstoke office a minimum of 3 days per week. This role is for initial 12 months contract. The pay rate is between £20.06 and £26.75 per hour PAYE. Duties of the role/Responsibilities • Translate ideas from Business Partners and stakeholders into low, medium, and high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes in Figma, using company’s UX Design System. • Create visual prototypes that enable shared understanding before a single line of code is written — reducing rework and aligning teams early. • Build conceptualisation artefacts and conceptual designs that communicate innovative solutions to challenges in the pharmaceutical and healthcare space. • Design and maintain information architecture for digital experiences, ensuring intuitive navigation and structure across products. • Conduct usability reviews and heuristic analyses across our existing portfolio of internal and external applications and services. • Audit products for Accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA), UX best practices, and UI design standards — providing actionable recommendations to improve quality and compliance. • Define future experiences through journey maps, service models, system maps, workflows, evaluative frameworks, and product concepts. • Collect and translate design requirements from cross-functional teams, ensuring business objectives, customer needs, and technical constraints are harmonised. • Work closely with Technical Product Owners, Software Engineers, and Business Partners. • Prepare and organise visual design assets for handoff to global development teams, ensuring specifications are clear and well-documented. • Provide well-reasoned design direction and constructive critique, mentoring and inspiring wider team members and stakeholders. Education/Experience • BA/BS in Human Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, User Experience, Visual Communication, Digital Media, or a closely related field • OR 10 years of industry UX/UI Designer experience • Expert-level proficiency in Figma — including component libraries, auto-layout, prototyping, and design systems • Strong portfolio demonstrating UX design across web, mobile, and enterprise applications. • Experience designing for both consumer-facing and internal/workforce digital products. • Solid understanding of WCAG Accessibility standards and digital compliance requirements. • Ability to work effectively in agile product teams alongside engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders • Experience working within a regulated industry (pharmaceutical, healthcare, or similar) is preferred. • Familiarity with design systems and brand governance in large enterprise environments is preferred. • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and translating insights into design decisions is preferred. • Exposure to Microsoft 365 platform products (SharePoint, Power Apps) and understanding of their design constraints • Knowledge of emergent technologies including AI-assisted workflows and their UX implications is preferred Interested candidates should submit an updated CV.
