The Role
Reporting to the Director of Finance & Commerce you’ll be the council’s professional lead for all procurement-related activity, providing clear leadership, direction and advice to the organisation to help deliver the best possible outcomes for our residents.
You will shape and embed an approach to contract and supplier relationship management activities across the council that delivers value for money, and contributes to savings targets, whilst ensuring continuity and quality of supply and compliance with all applicable regulations.
Coming into a new position you’ll have the opportunity to make your mark by working corporately across the whole organisation as well as shaping the resources directorate to ensure that the enabling services are the council’s engine room.
And as the council’s new head of procurement and contract management you will be specifically tasked with ensuring that contracts are managed in the most effective manner possible.
