Job Description:
Staffline Recruitment Ireland is looking for a motivated and Manufacturing Engineer to join our renowned client, Wrightbus, a leader in the zero-emission vehicle industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work effectively within a cross-functional team in the overall vehicle development, ensuring that all components and systems are correctly integrated into the overall vehicle design.
2. Responsible for the specification, selection and integration of components and systems into new and existing vehicle designs.
3. Undertake the technical assessment and analysis of the options available from component to system level. Recommend the optimal solution that satisfies system requirements whilst meeting overall vehicle objectives.
4. Develop and design product options in line with customer specifications.
5. Investigate and source as necessary any requirement for new materials and technology.
6. Produce Creo models and assemblies of vehicle components and systems.
7. Produce engineering detail drawings in Creo which can be issued to manufacturing and suppliers.
8. Work with suppliers and partners to ensure that components and sub-systems can be integrated together to achieve the overall vehicle objectives and performance.
9. Co-ordinate with the assembly and manufacturing teams to ensure that the Body design is clearly defined and controlled.
10. Manage the definition, execution and successful completion of verification and validation plans against specified requirements.
11. Support the NPD Strategy for EV, FCEV and HEV vehicles and systems.
12. Provide system technical information and documentation for both internal and external customers.
13. Document, validate and provide FMEA information and analysis for design reviews and NPD gateways.
14. Undertake the technical assessment and analysis of components and systems and develop optimal solutions to meet overall vehicle requirements.
15. Provide Technical assistance to production, support engineers and the customer.
16. Produce system layout drawings.
17. Create Bills of Material, specifications and detailed designs
18. Produce and manage component and systems specifications.
19. Support prototype build, validation and product sign off.
Requirements:
20. Strong understanding of production procedures and in-depth knowledge of safety standards.
21. 4 years plus experience in a similar roles.
22. Experience of heavy engineering / automtove industry.
23. Experience in as many of the following: Chassis Design, Driveline Installation, Cooling Systems, Sheetmetal design.
24. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
25. Problem-solving abilities and strong decision-making skills.
26. Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
27. Relevant degree in Engineering, or related field is advantageous.
