Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to manage the daily operations of our brand-new café called Caffi Eryri, located within the lively and family-focused Adventure Parc in Dolgarrog. In addition to supervising café operations and upholding high food hygiene standards, the role includes handling bookings and coordination for our children's soft play area and birthday party packages. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working with families and thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Café & Food Service Supervision
* Oversee all aspects of the café, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and high standards of service and food quality.
* Supervise and support front-of-house and kitchen staff.
* Maintain full compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (including HACCP, allergen protocols, and cleaning schedules).
* Train team members in food handling, hygiene, and customer service.
* Monitor inventory, assist with stock control and ordering.
Soft Play & Party Bookings
* Manage all enquiries and bookings for the children's soft play area and birthday parties.
* Liaise with parents/guardians to confirm event details, catering requirements, and special requests.
* Coordinate party setup, communication with staff, and provide hosting support as needed.
* Maintain accurate records of bookings and schedules.
Customer Service & Operations
* Provide excellent customer service, handling queries and complaints professionally.
* Ensure the café and soft play area are clean, safe, and welcoming at all times.
* Support management in staff rotas, promotions, and event planning.
* Adhere to all health and safety and safeguarding policies.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a food & beverage supervisory role or similar hospitality position.
* Valid Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum Level 2; Level 3 preferred).
* Strong understanding of food safety systems and allergen management.
* Experience working with children and families in a customer-facing role.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Confident in managing bookings and customer enquiries (email, phone, in-person).
* Must be willing to undergo aDBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check due to regular interaction with children and families.
* Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and busy seasonal periods.
Desirable:
* First Aid certification.
* Experience in event planning or party hosting.
* Familiarity with booking systems or scheduling tools.
* Barista or café background.
