.Jobstore are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join our clients leading organisation based in the North West.
You will be joining a well organised and highly skilled team, where you will have the opportunity to help drive the success of an integral business
function, which will make a positive impact on the organisation.
As a Skilled Mechanical Fitter, you will be tasked with assembling critical equipment to the
pharmaceutical industry including a variety of isolators for chemotherapy drug distribution
such as microbiological safety cabinets, rigid isolators (gloveboxes) Laminar airflow cabinets and
Fume Cupboards.
Your role will include:
- Using static machinery, battery powered tools including drills and general hand tools.
- Working in a safe manner, achieving a high level of quality
- Notifying the team leader of any shortages in regular materials used
- Work with other teams to minimise delays and meet high standards.
- Assembling a full range of metalwork enclosure products manufactured by the company.
- Some travel to work at client sites across the UK, to fit and install the products.
- Liaising with the tradesman and contractors at client sites as required.
The ideal candidate should come from a strong mechanical background, preferably be familiar with working to a very high standards in the aerospace, nuclear, medical, or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Its essential to have previous mechanical assembly experience.
- A City & Guilds, NVQ 3 or equivalent is ideal but not essential.
- You will be required to travel to do ad-hoc installation work and will require a valid drivers
licence (company vehicle is supplied for work purposes).

Standard hours of work as Monday
Thursday 7am
3.30pm and Friday 7am
1pm
38 hours a week and great holiday allowance.
