What You'll Be Doing Credit Strategy & Decisioning Owning and optimising the credit decision engine, underwriting rules, and acceptance criteria
Developing and refining scorecards and affordability models
Driving smarter lending decisions aligned to risk appetite and FCA expectations
Running structured test-and-learn strategies to improve performance and customer outcomes
Supporting ongoing development of credit risk frameworks and lending strategies
Portfolio & Risk Analysis Monitoring portfolio performance, arrears trends, and emerging risk indicators
Producing meaningful MI and insight for senior leadership and governance meetings
Supporting collections and account management strategies through behavioural analysis and segmentation
Translating complex data into clear, commercially useful recommendations
Data & Innovation Analysing internal and external data sources to improve risk assessment capability
Exploring new technologies and industry developments including Open Banking and alternative credit data
Supporting innovation within credit scoring and affordability assessment approaches
Helping shape the future direction of the Credit Risk function
What They're Looking For Experience within Credit Risk Analytics in a consumer finance environment
Strong understanding of decision engine optimisation and lending strategy
Experience developing and monitoring scorecards
Exposure to portfolio monitoring, arrears analysis, and performance reporting
Confidence presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Knowledge of FCA regulations, particularly CONC and responsible lending
Advanced Excel and strong analytical capability
The ability to manipulate large datasets and turn data into actionable insight
