Position Overview
To strengthen our Jersey based team of three we are seeking a Jersey based FP&A Finance Manager. This is a dual role. On the one hand you will maintain the accounts of four holding companies in Jersey – that are not part of the operating group – and will prepare and make all the necessary local compliance filings. On the other you will help the group FP&A team to produce month end results, forecasting, budgeting, and business insight analysis. You will be primarily focused on P&L revenue and costs. While this role will support the two co-founders and their structurers in Jersey and you will have to interact with them frequently, you will be reporting to the FP&A Finance Business Partner and Head of FP&A. The person will need to be located in Jersey and be able to travel occasionally to other 1Global offices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintaining the financial records of all Group Companies registered in Jersey;
2. Choosing an appropriate accounting system to transfer the companies records from Xero;
3. Assisting with ensuring the compliance of all Group Companies registered in Jersey to local law requirements;
4. Running payroll for the employees in Jersey;
5. Treasury activities for the Jersey companies including managing bank accounts and performing payments;
6. Working with external tax advisors to ensure tax compliance of the companies registered in Jersey;
7. Review and agree month end results produced and posted onto the accounting system by the General Ledger team of the Operating Group.
8. Own and run month end management reporting revenue and cost models of the Operating Group.
9. Produce month end business insight analysis and commentary of the Operating Group.
10. Identify and recommend revenue growth and cost saving initiatives in collaboration with Sales, Technology, Operations, and Commercial teams of the Operating Group.
11. Support and run budget and forecasting models for the Operating Group.
12. Produce weekly trading results, month end outturn projections, risks and opportunities and business insight for the Operating Group.
13. Produce revenue reports from the Revenue Data Base for the Operating Group.
14. Audit support for annual accounts of the Operating Group.
Requirements
15. Minimum of 3 years work experience.
16. Excellent academic record in a numerical (or scientific) discipline.
17. Qualified accountant is a must.
18. Experience of doing month end accounting tasks, forecasting, and budgeting.
19. Strong excel skills and experience using accounting and CRM systems.
20. Ability to build financial models using large data sets and advanced statistical methods.
21. Strong analytical ability and able to think commercially.
22. A collaborative approach with strong influencing skills.
