As part of our continued growth, we’re looking for a proactive and reliable Credit Controller to join our finance team based in Loughton. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their work and thrives in a friendly, collaborative environment.
The Role:
As Credit Controller, you’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely payment, and maintaining healthy cash flow. You’ll also assist with general finance support as needed, so this role would suit a strong all-rounder with a flexible, hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively chase outstanding payments via phone and email
* Build and maintain strong client relationships to support smooth cash collection
* Investigate and resolve invoice queries
* Accurately allocate payments and maintain the sales ledger
* Prepare aged debtor reports and support with credit reporting
* Assist with general finance and admin duties as part of a supportive team

What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role
* Strong communication skills and a confident, professional manner
* Great attention to detail and organisational skills
* Proficient in Excel and familiar with finance systems (Sage, COINS or similar is a plus)
* A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
* Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload
