Responsibilities
* Working closely with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
* Preparing financial statements and year-end accounts
* Processing client records and transactions
* Producing management accounts
* Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
* Handling basic client queries
* Supporting the team with administrative and ad hoc tasks as needed
Qualifications
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
* A professional, organised approach to work
* Solid IT skills - experience with Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, and CCH is a plus
* Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
* Self-motivated with strong communication skills
* A flexible, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACCA
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice
