Job Description:
Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing, College of Health, Wellbeing & Life Science. Academic Grade 8 - £45,413 to £57,422 per annum, dependent on experience. As a Senior Lecturer at one of the UK's largest nurse education providers, you will work with a vibrant community of academics, practitioners, and researchers committed to high-quality, research-informed teaching and active learning. You will join a team of academic practitioners, leading, innovating, teaching, and supporting registrants in SPQ District Nursing and non-medical prescribing programmes. You will also support student nurses across undergraduate and postgraduate Adult Nursing curricula, with opportunities for research and project involvement. Responsibilities include supporting students, liaising with practice partners, and engaging with research. There may be line management opportunities. You will need:
* The ability to design and deliver transformative and innovative learning experiences.
* Knowledge of critical, practical, and theoretical issues relevant to Community Nursing Specialist Practice and Adult Nursing, as well as the health and social care agenda.
* Experience in teaching, training, or supervising undergraduate and postgraduate nurses in practice or academic settings.
* Current NMC registration as an Adult Nurse, Community Nursing Specialist Practice (SPQ District Nurse), and non-medical prescriber.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
We offer opportunities to pursue a rewarding career in a supportive environment. You will be enrolled in the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS), one of the UK's largest and most generous defined benefit pension schemes. Find out more about the TPS. If you have been a member of the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) prior to joining, you may opt out of the TPS and remain in USS. Please contact the Pensions team for options. Employment will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service. A criminal record does not necessarily prevent employment; its relevance will be assessed before appointment.
