Accounts Receivable Specialist
6 Month Contract | Guildford (3 Days On-Site)
£34,000–£36,000 per annum (Equivalent hourly rate inside IR35)
We're partnering with a well-established and rapidly expanding facilities provider, recognised nationally as a specialist in their field. They're looking to add an Accounts Receivable Assistant to their finance team to support a particularly busy period of reporting and transactional activity.
This is a varied position that will suit a finance professional with strong transactional knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and a good foundation in accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain up-to-date records of daily income and reconcile takings within spreadsheets
* Issue accurate client invoices through the company's finance system
* Process and record authorised credit adjustments when required
* Review and resolve discrepancies relating to services and charges
* Support month-end revenue recognition by preparing accurate sales data
* Respond to customer queries promptly and professionally
* Liaise with colleagues across different teams to ensure smooth client service delivery
* Share key information with management reporting teams regularly
* Provide wider finance support, including ad-hoc tasks such as audit sampling
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a complex, high volume accounts receivable position
* Solid knowledge of receivables processes and payment cycles
* Proficiency in Excel and confidence working with large finance systems
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
* Excellent organisational skills and clear communication ability
