Contract Delivery Manager – Mechanical Arboriculture

Location: Field-based, with access to Newark
Salary: Competitive
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday

About the Role

Ready to step up from hands-on arboriculture to leading project delivery? As a Contract Delivery Manager, you’ll oversee high-quality vegetation and Arboricultural projects, ensuring smooth delivery, strong client relationships, and effective team leadership. This role combines fieldwork with hybrid working - spending time on-site when needed while enjoying the flexibility of home-based work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Delivery: Plan, coordinate, and oversee projects, managing teams and subcontractors to ensure safe, on-time, and high-quality delivery.

2. Client & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships, ensuring expectations are met and identifying opportunities for further work.

3. Business Development Support: Collaborate with the Business Development team to secure new projects and grow existing client partnerships.

4. Financial Oversight: Monitor budgets, costings, and invoicing to ensure projects are profitable and compliant.

5. Health, Safety & Compliance: Maintain high safety standards, ensure all certifications are current, and oversee equipment maintenance.

6. Leadership: Lead, support, and develop your team, providing clear direction and day-to-day management.

7. Reporting: Maintain accurate project data and documentation, ensuring transparency across the business.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Knowledge & Skills:

8. NPTC Units 201, 202, and 203 (chainsaw maintenance, crosscutting, felling/process trees up to 380mm)

9. First Aid and Forestry

10. PTS & SSSTS

11. Highways Passport

12. Full Driving Licence

13. Vegetation/Arboriculture experience

14. Contract management experience

15. Operative experience

Desirable Knowledge & Skills:

16. SMSTS

17. IOSH Managing Safely

18. Willingness to work away from home occasionally
