Learn more. Kids & Youth Worker (CSJ) LOCATION: Lifecentre.Church, Cornwall Campus WORKWEEK: Flexible(TBD), mandatory Sunday availability. TERM: Fixed Term Contract PERIOD: June 29, 2026 - August 23, 2026 (8 weeks) SALARY: $18.64 / HOUR, hourly for 32 hours per week OVERVIEW: The Kids & Youth Worker reports to the Campus Pastors and works alongside the campus team to plan and deliver engaging summer programming for children and youth. This role provides hands-on experience in leadership, program development, and community engagement. The successful candidate will serve as a positive mentor and role model, helping create safe, welcoming, and engaging environments for children (primary) and youth (middle school) through a variety of summer activities and events. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: Self-motivated and team-oriented Strong communication skills with a positive and engaging approach Willingness to learn new programs and procedures Flexible, reliable, and detail-oriented SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to prioritize tasks and anticipate program needs Strong interpersonal skills when working with children and youth Comfortable assisting in leading activities and group settings Open to feedback, supervision, and growth Previous experience with children/youth in group environments is an asset Responsible, enthusiastic, patient, and dependable Basic knowledge of audio/visual or presentation tools is an asset RESPONSIBILITIES: The Worker’s primary areas of responsibility may include, but are not limited to: 1. Kids Programming (45%) Plan and support children’s programs and activities Prepare materials, decorate spaces, and assist with setup/cleanup Help lead outdoor activities and special events Support and assist with campus summer day camp programming (e.g., Vacation Bible School weeks) Support volunteers participating in programs 2. Youth Programs (45%) Assist in planning and running youth events and community activities Support off-site events within the community Help facilitate engaging, inclusive group experiences Assist with setup, teardown, and general program support 3. Audio/Visual Support (10%) Assist with basic A/V setup for programs and events Support presentations and production needs for kids and youth programming ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is open to all eligible applicants.
