Consultant Psychiatrist – Liaison Psychiatry, Lancaster
We are seeking a full‑time (10PA) Consultant Psychiatrist in Liaison Psychiatry based at Royal Lancaster Infirmary, Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust. The role supports the Emergency Department and medical assessment wards, providing rapid assessment for patients aged 16 and over and advice for in‑patients.
Main duties and responsibilities
* Lead a multidisciplinary team supported by junior doctors, nursing staff, operational managers, clinical psychologists, social workers, pharmacists and occupational therapists.
* Participate in the Consultant On Call rota (additional remuneration provided).
* Deliver rapid assessment and liaison services to improve patient care and outcomes.
Essential qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent.
* Full GMC registration and licence to practice.
* Entry on GMC Specialist Register (or within 6 months at interview).
* Section 12 approved.
* Approved Clinician Status (or within 6 months at interview).

* Knowledge, skills and experience relevant to this role.
