Responsibilities
* Provide tailored assistance to students, supporting their educational development, particularly for those with special educational needs.
* Support the classroom teacher by helping implement teaching strategies and/ or interventions.
* Foster an inclusive learning environment that enables all students to participate and engage.
* Use appropriate approaches to support children and young people with additional needs and adapt activities as required.
* Collaborate with the class team and communicate effectively with students and their families.
* Be prepared to work across the school as needed.
Qualifications and qualities
* Love of learning, enthusiasm, energy and a positive contribution to the class team.
* Ability to develop strategies in problem solving and to work with children with complex needs.
* Strong communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
What you will be doing
Your responsibilities include providing tailored assistance to students, fostering an inclusive learning environment, and implementing strategies for children and young people with additional needs. Reporting to the classroom teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational development of the pupils.
