Job Description
Our team has a successful track record of delivering major multidisciplinary rail projects from our regional offices in London and Croydon, collaborating with other regional teams and global design centres.
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support our expanding workload. You will have proven experience in LV design and HV substation design, delivering rail projects to client satisfaction, ensuring accuracy, economic viability, constructability, and compliance with relevant standards.
You will possess strong business development and client relationship skills, with the ability to develop and manage team members' work.
Our services include feasibility studies, outline designs, and detailed designs for a diverse portfolio of rail infrastructure projects for clients like Network Rail, London Underground, TFL, Nexus, TfGM, SYPTE, and Tier 1 contractors.
Responsibilities
* Technical and commercial delivery of projects, developing AECOM’s rail LV and substation capabilities.
* Collaborate with project teams and cascade information effectively.
* Develop concept and detailed designs, including calculations, reports, and specifications.
* Check CAD drawings and design documentation, liaise with designers and CAD Technicians.
* Support development of project specifications for construction and attend site inspections if necessary, with a good understanding of Health and Safety and CDM regulations.
Qualifications
* BSc, BEng, or MEng degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Chartered Engineer or working towards, and membership of a professional institution.
* Experience with Network Rail, London Underground, Railway Group Standards, British Standards, and Eurocodes is preferred.
