Position
An opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse Immunisations at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
What you will do:
To provide an accessible and effective nursing service to children and their families, supporting the Public Health Agenda to maximize the health and wellbeing of all children.
The childhood flu immunisation programme is a key public health measure contributing to the reduction of health inequalities. The post involves achieving national and local health objectives through preventative care of school-aged children. As part of the Immunisation Service, the post holder will deliver professional nursing skills to ensure effective implementation of the Scottish Influenza programme.
You will work as part of an integrated NHS Children and Families team, delivering immunisation services across all secondary schools in Ayrshire, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care responsive to local needs.

Hours:
Six positions, 27.5 hours per week.
This is a fixed-term contract from 15th September 2025 to 28th November 2025.
Working hours are 09:00-15:00, Monday to Friday. The annual leave week is scheduled for 13th-17th October.
UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
Possession of a UK driving licence and car ownership is essential for this role.
