Support Worker

Salary: £12.87 - £14.03 per hour (dependent on qualifications and competencies) plus £1,500 welcome bonus*Position Type: Permanent, Full-TimeHours: 40 hours per week (part-time hours available, minimum 24 hours per week)

Full training provided. Following successful completion of probation, support and funding will be available to undertake a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.

We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Support Workers, supporting young adults with severe and profound learning disabilities and complex health needs.

Set within beautiful grounds, our service provides a supportive living and learning environment where young adults are encouraged to develop independence, confidence, and life skills as they transition into adulthood.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young adults with their daily lives. This includes providing personal care and assisting with all aspects of personal hygiene, dressing, and maintaining personal appearance in a respectful and dignified manner.

You will also support individuals with their health and wellbeing needs and take part in a range of therapeutic and recreational activities. These may include hydrotherapy, sensory activities, creative arts, music sessions, outdoor learning, and other opportunities designed to enhance quality of life and personal development.

Promoting independence is at the heart of everything we do. You'll encourage young adults to make choices about their day-to-day activities, whether that's participating in enterprise projects, shopping trips, outdoor activities, social outings, or pursuing their own interests.

No two days are the same, and flexibility is essential. You'll be expected to adapt to the needs of the individuals you support and work collaboratively with colleagues to provide outstanding care and support.

About You

* A resilient, positive, and proactive attitude
* Creativity and adaptability when meeting individual needs
* The ability to work a rota pattern, including alternate weekends
