Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Conveyancer to join a busy and dynamic team in the heart of Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with 1 to 3 years of post-qualified experience to contribute to a high-performing department within a well-established legal practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a diverse residential and/or commercial conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion.
* Deliver exceptional client care and ensure a smooth, first-class experience for all clients.
* Demonstrate a commercially aware approach to case management and decision-making.
* Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
* Ensure key client and business outcomes are consistently met.
Core Duties Include:
General:
* Provide accurate and timely legal advice to individuals and companies.
* Handle routine conveyancing queries across various communication platforms.
* Liaise professionally with third parties including solicitors, estate agents, mortgage lenders, IFAs, landlords, and management companies.
Purchase Transactions:
* Examine and check legal title.
* Raise pre-contract enquiries and review responses.
* Apply for and review property searches.
* Prepare SDLT returns and supporting documentation.
* Draft and review deeds, including statutory declarations, deeds of variation or rectification, easements, etc.
* Assess funding sources and mortgage documentation.
Sale Transactions:
* Prepare contracts and supporting title documentation, including for complex titles or unregistered land.
* Compile Epitomes of Title and conduct relevant searches.
* Review enquiries and assist legal assistants with contract preparation.
* Sign off at relevant stages of the transaction lifecycle.
Other Transaction Types:
* Manage re-mortgages, assents, transfers of equity, matrimonial sales, and conveyancing related to deceased estates.
About You:
* A qualified solicitor, legal executive, or licensed conveyancer with 1-3 years’PQE.
* Confident in running your own caseload with minimal supervision.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proficient in using case management systems.
