An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef to join a luxury boutique hotel in the Lake District, as the kitchen enters a new phase under refreshed leadership and clear long-term ambition.
Operating at 3 AA Rosette level, with newly launched tasting and à la carte menus, the focus is firmly on refining standards, strengthening the brigade, and progressing towards Michelin recognition.

The Role
Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play a central role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
You will:
* Support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen and maintaining standards
* Drive consistency and quality across all sections during service
* Help structure and develop the brigade
* Support menu development and refinement
* Oversee prep, organisation and kitchen discipline
* Assist with stock control, ordering and kitchen management
* Lead service confidently and step up in the Head Chef’s absence
This is a hands-on role requiring both strong technical ability and leadership presence.

* £40,000 base salary
