Job Opportunity: Day Care Support Worker - Linenbridge, Banbridge Location: Linenbridge, Banbridge Hours: Monday - Friday, 9.30am - 3.30pm Salary: £12.75 per hour Service Area: Day Care Services - Disability Division Directorate: Mental Health & Disability Services About the Role We are seeking a caring, motivated and reliable Day Care Support Worker (Band 3) to join our Day Care Services team. You will support adults with learning, physical and/or sensory disabilities who attend our day services, helping them to achieve their personal goals, maintain independence and enjoy meaningful activities both within the centre and in the wider community. Key Responsibilities As a Day Care Support Worker, you will: Support the delivery of person‑centred care plans and contribute to ongoing assessment and review. Assist service users with personal and physical care where required. Implement daily activities, therapeutic programmes and community-based opportunities. Support individuals with complex health or behavioural needs, following training and guidance. Adhere to all Trust policies including safeguarding, health & safety, medication procedures, and infection control. Assist with the provision of meals and follow individual eating/drinking risk assessments. Participate in mandatory training, supervision, and team meetings. Maintain accurate records in line with professional and legislative standards. Work collaboratively with families, carers, colleagues, and allied health professionals. Essential Criteria You must have one of the following: NVQ/QCF/VRQ/RCF Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care OR 4 GCSEs (A-C) including English Language and 1 year's paid experience delivering direct care in a hospital, residential, nursing or community care setting OR 2 years paid experience delivering direct care in a care environment Additional requirements: Willingness to complete QCF Level 3 Health & Social Care within 1 year of appointment NISCC registration (or willingness to register upon appointment) Full UK driving licence and access to a car (unless exempt due to disability) Desirable Criteria Experience working within disability services Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
