Location: Leeds, UK (with responsibility for Ireland and future growth in Scotland & Southern UK)

We are a leading supplier of system scaffolding across the UK & Ireland, supported by our own manufacturing facilities in Belgium. With steady growth and expansion planned, we are now seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to oversee and optimise the day-to-day running of our depots in Leeds and Ireland, while supporting future development in Scotland and Southern UK.
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our depots operate efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with the highest standards of safety and compliance. Working closely with Depot Yard Managers and senior management, you will be responsible for stock, logistics, and overall operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote and enforce safe working practices across all depot activities.
* Manage yard/depot equipment, materials, and small plant.
* Oversee the planning and movement of materials and equipment for contracts.
* Monitor and maintain stock levels within agreed Min/Max parameters.
* Report and coordinate stock replenishment with central manufacturing facilities.
* Ensure depot operations comply with company policies, QMS, and industry standards.
* Maintain effective communication between depots, internal staff, and head office.
* Support operations training, competency, and compliance initiatives.
* Organise and manage external transport alongside Depot Yard Managers.
* Supervise day-to-day yard operations, including loading/unloading vehicles when required.
* Contribute to the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental objectives.
Requirements
* Proven experience in operations or depot/yard management, ideally in a fast-paced industrial or construction-related sector.
* Strong organisational and process-building skills, with the ability to adapt to changing demands.
* IT literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Current forklift licence.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
