About the Role
We’re looking for a talented and experienced Senior Art Director with exceptional creative design skills and the vision to bring big ideas to life. This is a key role for a conceptual thinker who thrives on bringing ideas to life through outstanding design and art direction. You’ll be responsible for leading creative projects, inspiring the team, and ensuring high-quality visual output across multiple channels.
You will be someone who thrives in high-pressure, fast-moving environments and can turn minimal information into work that wows. You’ll be conceptual, hands-on and able to stamp your creative mark on everything from brand campaigns to TV, film and photography shoots. You’ll work closely to support the Creative Director, Art Director, designers, and wider team of copywriters, and freelancers to develop compelling concepts that push boundaries, excite audiences, and drive results for our clients. Our ongoing goal is to raise the bar on our output and add real value to our creative offer. We want you to make a true and meaningful impact to the work we do.
You will report directly into our Group Creative Director.
Key responsibilities
* Develop and deliver high-level creative concepts across integrated campaigns.
* Work independently to create innovative, award-winning work.
* Visualise ideas and communicate them clearly to both internal teams and clients.
* Contribute to copywriting and ensure messaging aligns with creative direction.
* Lead and direct TV, film and photography shoots with precision and creativity.
* Adapt quickly to changing priorities, often working to tight and immovable deadlines.
* Present concepts and finished work to clients with confidence, representing M3 professionally.
* Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Consistently deliver work of the highest standard, demonstrating dedication to M3’s creative excellence.
* Support and help develop younger designers.
* 10+ years’ creative design experience.
* Proven experience as an Art Director or Senior Art Director in a creative agency environment.
* Outstanding conceptual and design skills.
* The ability to take a creative idea and roll it out across different digital and print formats.
* An expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) with any other related software being a bonus.
* Good Digital knowledge – website design, digital banner production & social media design
* A strong visualisation skillset – from the loosest marker scamp through to computer-made mock-ups
* Excellent presentation skills and client-facing experience
* Able to take projects, from conception to completion, in a timely fashion
* Extensive experience directing shoots across TV, film and photography
* A strong knowledge of advertising and marketing campaigns to be able to confidently take a campaign idea and bring it to life
* Interpret client feedback intelligently retaining the core creative idea where possible
