Job description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nursery Room Leader to lead one of our rooms and inspire a team of practitioners to deliver high-quality early years education. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident Level 3 (or above) qualified professional looking to take the next step in their childcare career.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the daily running of the room
2. Plan and implement engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
3. Support, mentor, and supervise room staff
4. Monitor children’s learning and development through observation and assessment
5. Ensure the room meets high standards of care, safety, and hygiene
6. Build strong partnerships with parents and carers
7. Act as a Key Person for a group of children
8. Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are always met
9. Contribute to staff meetings and continuous improvement within the nursery
Requirements
10. Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
11. Previous experience in an early years setting
12. Experience leading or supervising a team (preferred)
13. Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
14. Clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection
15. Excellent organisational and leadership skills
