Overview
Westham Ward is a busy 25-bedded mixed Acute Respiratory Ward. A multidisciplinary approach to care is practised. The team is both friendly and supportive, with a strong commitment to providing a high standard of care.
Position
We are looking for an experienced Clinical Support Worker; hospital experience is desirable but not essential. A minimum of GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths, Care Certificate and/or NVQ2 two in health and social care or the equivalent role.
Qualifications
* Minimum of GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths.
* Care Certificate and/or NVQ2 two in health and social care or the equivalent role.
Responsibilities
* Insertion/removal of cannula.
* Venepuncture.
* Wound assessment and simple dressings.
* Removal of urinary catheter.
* Complete induction course, including all Trust statutory/Mandatory training.
* Invite and share knowledge and experience with the ward.
* Demonstrate motivation and commitment to high standards of patient care and personal professional development.
* Work as part of a team, using your own initiative with effective interpersonal and communication skills, contributing fully as a member of the multi-disciplinary team.
