The Ring team is seeking a passionate iOS Software Development Engineer with experience in building high-quality mobile apps. Responsibilities include developing applications that interact seamlessly with devices and enhance user experience. You will focus on the Live View feature in the Ring app, impacting millions of users and shaping their live streaming experience.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain iOS mobile applications
* Collaborate with team members on design approaches and technical feasibility
* Lead architecture and feature design from conception to launch
* Improve engineering processes and tools
* Participate in agile development to ensure high-quality software delivery
Daily Responsibilities:
This role offers the chance to shape Ring's core offerings, prototype ideas, solve complex problems, and promote best practices. You will work with experts across various fields, learn continuously, and contribute your creative ideas to enhance the home security experience for our customers.
Team Overview:
Our team focuses on developing new features and owning key experiences within the Ring app. We collaborate across cloud, firmware, and mobile teams to innovate and meet customer needs, emphasizing data-driven decisions, ownership, and seamless integration of security solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Experience programming in at least one software language
* Experience in system architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling
* Professional software development experience (non-internship)
* Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C
* Experience with iOS frameworks and Apple platform development
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
* Knowledge of full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, testing, and operations
* Experience designing and developing iOS applications
* Proficiency with version control tools like Git
* Experience with reactive programming frameworks such as ReactiveSwift and Rx
* Ability to optimize app performance using tools like Instruments
* Experience with automated testing and deployment, REST web services, and video streaming technologies (e.g., WebRTC, SDP, SIP, RTP)
