Facilities Maintenance Technician £40,000 - £45,000 + Company Vehicle + Optional Overtime at Enhanced Rates + 10% Bonus + Fuel Card
Location: Manchester, Midlands Region: Travel Required
Are you an experienced Facilities Technician or Heating Engineer with a Gas Safe qualification, looking for a regional role offering autonomy, variety, and excellent earning potential?
On offer is a field-based position covering sites from Manchester down to the Midlands, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of properties. You'll be a key member of the regional facilities team, working on heating systems, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and delivering a high standard of service.
This company is a well-established, high-end property management business operating across the UK. With a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer care, they are looking for a skilled technician to take ownership of the region and ensure facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Gas Safe qualified technician who enjoys a mix of heating, plumbing, and general maintenance work, in a role offering variety, autonomy, and long-term stability.
The Role
1. Carry out heating system maintenance, fault finding, and repairs (domestic and light commercial) across multiple sites
2. Complete general facilities maintenance including plumbing, minor electrical work, and building fabric repairs
3. Work from a planned maintenance schedule, as well as respond to urgent issues when required
4. Regional travel from Manchester to the Midlands (company vehicle and fuel card provided)
5. Monday to Friday, with optional weekend and evening overtime at enhanced rates
The Candidate
* Gas Safe registered (essential)
* Background as a heating engineer, facilities technician, or similar
* Experience in both planned and reactive maintenance
* Comfortable working independently and travelling regionally
* Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to safe working practices
