I'm looking for a Document Controller to join a major hotel refurbishment project near Windsor.
You'll be working alongside a site-based Project Director, two Project Managers and a team of Site Managers on a busy refurbishment scheme that will generate exactly what you'd expect...
Drawings.
Drawing revisions.
RFIs.
Updated drawings.
Superseded drawings.
People looking at superseded drawings.
People insisting they're definitely looking at the latest drawing. You know the drill.
This isn't really a role for someone who just uploads documents and moves them into folders.
The team need someone who takes ownership, keeps things organised, chases information when needed and can quickly put their hands on the right document when somebody asks for it.
You'll need:
โข Previous construction Document Control experience
โข Experience using an EDMS platform
โข Strong attention to detail
โข Good organisation skills
โข Confidence dealing with consultants, subcontractors and site teams
The contractor has a good reputation and the project itself is exactly the sort of scheme that keeps things interesting - live environment, high-end finishes, multiple workstreams and plenty of moving parts.
As every good Document Controller knows, when everything is organised nobody says a word.
When it isn't, suddenly everyone knows your name.
Happy to have a chat if you wanted to know more.
